Bathroom ≠ sempre banheiro completo
Nos EUA, o bathroom é o banheiro com chuveiro e banheira. O toalete simples (só vaso e pia) pode ser chamado de half bath, powder room ou simplesmente restroom (em espaços públicos).

There is / There are — descrevendo a casa
Use there is (singular) e there are (plural) para descrever o que existe em um lugar:

There IS + singular. There ARE + plural. "There is a sofa." / "There are three bedrooms."

Bathroom = banheiro completo. Half bath/powder room = só vaso e pia. Restroom = banheiro público.

Perguntas frequentes
Use adjetivos antes do substantivo: "a big kitchen", "a small bathroom", "a cozy bedroom". Com there is: "There is a spacious living room." Para comparar: "The bedroom is bigger than the bathroom." Outros adjetivos úteis: bright (iluminado), dark (escuro), modern (moderno), old-fashioned (antiquado), clean (limpo).
"House" é o edifício físico onde se mora. "Home" é o conceito de lar — o lugar onde você sente que pertence. "I live in a house" (física). "I am going home" (ao meu lar). Por isso dizemos "home sweet home" (lar doce lar) e não "house sweet house". "Make yourself at home" = sinta-se em casa.
"How much is the rent?" (Quanto é o aluguel?) / "The rent is $800 a month." "Is it furnished?" (É mobiliado?) / "Yes, it comes with furniture." "Are utilities included?" (Água e luz estão incluídas?) / "Yes, all bills are included." "How many floors does the building have?" (Quantos andares tem o prédio?)
