Bookstore / Bookshop = livraria (você compra livros)
Muitos brasileiros confundem os dois porque em português "livraria" soa como "library"!

⚠ Erros comuns
❌ "library" para comprar livros → ✅ "bookstore". ❌ "college" para high school → ✅ "high school".
Perguntas frequentes

Na prática, ambos significam loja. "Shop" é mais comum no inglês britânico e para lojas menores e especializadas: "a coffee shop", "a gift shop". "Store" é mais americano e pode se referir a lojas maiores: "a department store", "a grocery store". "Shopping" como substantivo (shopping center) é um anglicismo criado no Brasil — em inglês se diz "mall" ou "shopping mall".
